Scope of the workshop

We kindly invite you to participate in the European Landscape Contractors Association workshop “What is the secret of a competitive, developing and sustainable landscaping company?”

Why: to increase the awareness about possibilities of how to empower employees and throughout that ensure the competitiveness, development and sustainability of the company.

What about

The workforce today and tomorrow:

  • how to increase the involvement of employees
  • team thinking and team learning

The competence profile as a tool for building and strengthening the company:

  • the right task for the right person
  • how to support employees to bring out their potential
  • how to build the efficiently cooperative teams
  • communication between manager and employees

Sustainability of the company:

  • every employee is an ambassador of the company
  • what is the impact on the company of investing in employees
  • what is the value for the company to be a member of ELCA CoF and exchange program.

The training takes the form of a workshop, which includes discussions, practical assignments and group works.

Duration of training: 9.00 — 17.00

It will take place Hotel Wawel, ul. Poselska 22, 31-002 Kraków. The participation fee includes coffee break and lunch.

We have only 6 places available for this event.

In the case of paid events, training participants are formally registered after paying for their participation. After registering and before making a payment please check with us first if there are still vacancies for the workshop.

Cancellation of participation is only possible three days (72 hours) before the event takes place. Only then the money can be reimbursed.

Fees and registration

Participation fee: 1 050pln net (excluding VAT). The fee includes coofee break and lunch.

Anu Vaagen and Raili Laas are trainers and coaches, working together with vocational schools and companies in the green sector towards bringing schools and the labour market closer together. The main training topics are professional behaviour of employees, coaching principles in leadership, team building and team learning, significant learning and working.

Anu and Raili have developed the system of landscapers’ professional qualification recognition and they are also the assessors of professional qualification exams in Estonia. They are members of the Estonian Landscapers Association.

They belong to the international researchers’ group of Yebisu e.e., whose focus is to strengthen the companies and education, empowering employees in the green sector. Their own company Yebisu Estonia has grown out of this community.

Anu and Raili are coordinating also the ELCA Exchange Program.

Rien van der Spek is a board member of ELCA. He is the co-owner and director, together with his two sons, of the M. van der Spek Group. With over 70 employees and collaborating with a group of selected subcontractors, they manage all kinds of green projects, ranging from earthworks and infrastructure to urban greening and garden projects for both the B2B and the private markets.

For along time, the M. van der Spek Group has been an active member of the ELCA Committee of Firms. Rien’s mission is to continue building on a network of firms exchanging knowledge and employees. Rien is the founder and member of the international group Yebisu e.e..
